A Custom Mobile Bar for Milburn Country Club
A country club’s character lives in the details, from its clubhouse to the way it welcomes members and guests. For Milburn Country Club in Overland Park, Kansas, those details now extend to a custom teardrop mobile bar built by Hudson Trailer Company in collaboration with Nick Reddell.

Established in 1917, Milburn has a recognizable identity and a long history. Our work with Nick brought that identity into a compact trailer with a distinctive curved profile, a welcoming wood interior, and a pull-out bar designed around beverage service.
Nick took an active role in shaping the build. Through drawings, finish selections, and progress photos, we worked together on the choices that would define both its appearance and its function. The conversation covered everything from the interior stain to ice capacity and the precise placement of the club’s logo.

The exterior became one of the project’s defining features. Nick requested a white upper body with gray across the lower portion, positioning the club’s green logo prominently above the Milburn Country Club lettering. We refined the rendering around those proportions before moving forward with paint.
The finished combination gives the trailer a clean, understated appearance. White provides a clear backdrop for the branding, while the gray lower body grounds the design. The club’s name and founding year make the finished trailer unmistakably Milburn.

Inside, dark-stained wood adds warmth and contrast. Raised hatches reveal the service areas, while the center pull-out cabinet extends the working surface beyond the trailer’s curved body. Open shelving provides space for service supplies, keeping the layout straightforward and accessible.
One practical decision made during the design process was the addition of a second stainless steel ice well. Nick confirmed the upgrade before the pull-out cabinet was built, allowing both wells to be incorporated into the counter. Each was specified at 47 liters, giving the finished bar two separate ice compartments within the same service area.

That combination of appearance and function carries through the project. The wood cabinetry, stainless steel wells, and club branding each serve a purpose, creating a mobile bar with the feel of a piece made specifically for its setting.
The completed trailer left our workshop in June 2023. Along with the build, we provided operating videos and care guidance to help the Milburn team become familiar with its setup and maintain the finished wood surfaces.
Working with Nick Reddell and Milburn Country Club shows how individual decisions shape a custom build. From an additional ice well to the line between white and gray paint, each choice helped turn our teardrop into a bar with its own identity.
