Limited Warranty

Every build from The Hudson Trailer Company is custom-designed and fabricated. We take pride in our craftsmanship and stand behind the work we perform.

Our limited warranty provides coverage for qualifying manufacturing defects while recognizing that mobile businesses require ongoing maintenance, proper operation, and routine care.

Warranty Coverage — 180 Days

The Hudson Trailer Company provides a 180-day limited warranty on structural framework and permanently installed safety components fabricated and installed by our company.

Coverage begins on the date of pickup or delivery, whichever occurs first.

This warranty applies to material defects in workmanship or materials that prevent a covered component from performing its intended function under normal use.

Coverage does not include cosmetic imperfections, design elements as defined in your agreement, routine adjustments, normal wear and tear, or changes in appearance resulting from use and environmental conditions.

Electrical & Plumbing Systems

All electrical and plumbing systems installed by The Hudson Trailer Company are inspected and tested before your build is released.

Before pickup or shipment, we conduct a comprehensive walkthrough of your completed build, reviewing its features, equipment, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and operating procedures. This walkthrough may be completed in person or virtually, depending on the client’s preference.

Our goal is to ensure that every client understands their build, how its systems operate, and the maintenance responsibilities associated with ownership before taking possession.

Electrical and plumbing systems are not included in the 180-day limited warranty.

Mobile units experience vibration, movement, temperature changes, and varying utility connections. These conditions can affect fittings, connections, and equipment over time.

Owners are responsible for regularly inspecting and maintaining their systems.

The following are not covered:

  • Electrical damage caused by improper power sources, overloaded circuits, unauthorized modifications, or incorrect connections.
  • Damage caused by drilling, mounting, or installing items into walls, ceilings, or other areas containing concealed electrical or plumbing components.
  • Plumbing leaks or damage caused by stored items pressing against pipes, fittings, drains, or water lines.
  • Loose or disconnected fittings resulting from transport, vibration, or normal movement.
  • Damage resulting from improper winterization, freezing temperatures, or failure to drain and protect plumbing systems.

Regularly checking and tightening accessible plumbing connections is an important part of owning and operating a mobile business.

Appliances & Equipment

Appliances, refrigeration, espresso machines, generators, water heaters, and other commercial equipment are covered exclusively by their respective manufacturers’ warranties.

This applies whether the equipment was supplied by The Hudson Trailer Company or provided by the client.

We recommend registering all applicable equipment with its manufacturer immediately after receiving your build.

Manufacturer warranty claims must be submitted directly to the equipment manufacturer.

What Is Not Covered

Our limited warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic changes, minor finish variations, or characteristics inherent to handcrafted construction.
  • Routine maintenance, adjustments, tightening, lubrication, resealing, or replacement of consumable items.
  • Damage caused by misuse, improper operation, neglect, overloading, improper cleaning, or inadequate maintenance.
  • Damage caused by road vibration, shifting, settling, expansion, contraction, or normal movement during transport.
  • Weather-related damage, water intrusion resulting from neglected seals, freezing, excessive moisture, or improper storage.
  • Damage occurring during towing, transportation, loading, unloading, or while the build is in the possession of a third party.
  • Modifications, alterations, or repairs performed without our prior written authorization.
  • Components or systems installed by third parties.
  • Damage resulting from failure to follow our care and maintenance recommendations.

Submitting a Warranty Claim

If you believe your build has a covered defect, please contact us at info@hudsontrailerco.com within the 180-day warranty period.

Include a description of the issue, photographs, and video when applicable.

We may request additional information or an inspection to determine whether the issue qualifies for warranty coverage.

Submitting a claim does not automatically establish coverage or authorize repairs at our expense.

Please do not arrange third-party repairs without receiving written authorization from The Hudson Trailer Company.

Warranty Resolution

If a covered manufacturing defect is confirmed, The Hudson Trailer Company will, at its discretion, repair or replace the affected component.

Repair or replacement is the exclusive remedy provided under this limited warranty.

Unless expressly authorized in writing beforehand, we are not responsible for third-party repair charges, transportation, towing, shipping, equipment removal, or associated labor expenses.

The Hudson Trailer Company is not responsible for lost revenue, interrupted operations, canceled events, lost business opportunities, lodging, or other incidental or consequential expenses arising from warranty claims or equipment issues.

All warranty determinations remain subject to the terms of the signed client agreement.

Caring for Your Investment

Your mobile business is a working commercial unit. Like any vehicle, trailer, or commercial kitchen, it requires regular attention to remain safe, functional, and attractive.

We recommend inspecting plumbing connections, electrical connections where safely accessible, exterior seals, finishes, tires, and other components on a regular basis.

Preventive maintenance, proper winterization, and careful operation are essential to protecting your investment for years to come.

We’re proud of the builds we create and want every client to enjoy years of successful operation. Proper care and maintenance are the foundation of that longevity.

Winterizing

If your unit will be exposed to freezing temperatures, winterizing is necessary. Water left inside lines, pumps, espresso machines, glass rinsers and hot water heaters can freeze and cause internal damage. During winterization, use an RV-safe antifreeze approved for potable systems and pour it into drains and water tanks to prevent freezing.

  • Empty the fresh water tank. Open all faucets to allow water to drain from the fresh tank. If your tank has a drain port that runs through the floor, open it to drain faster. Avoid running the pump once the tank is nearly empty. Once drained, close all faucets and unplug the pump.
  • Add RV antifreeze. Add non-toxic RV antifreeze into the fresh water tank and run it through the pump, hot water heater and all plumbing lines. Generally, one gallon is sufficient; don’t fill the entire tank.
  • Winterize the sinks and pipes. Unplug your pump and hot water heater, leave your sink faucets open to allow air circulation, and empty the waste tank completely so no standing water remains in any lines or tanks.
  • Prepare the exterior. Close and seal all windows, wash and wax the exterior, and use a trailer cover if you can. Regularly remove snow and ice buildup from the roof. Inflate your tires to the recommended pressure to avoid flat spots.
  • Battery and propane. Remove the 12-volt battery from the case on the hitch and keep it on a trickle charger in a cool, dry place. Turn off the propane supply and disconnect any propane appliances.
  • Prepare the interior. Take out valuables, electronics and food, then do a final walkthrough to confirm all systems are drained, secured and protected.
