A custom vintage food truck built to bring Kohler’s food service onto the golf course.

Kohler wanted the character of a vintage Chevrolet with the capabilities of a modern commercial kitchen. The vehicle needed to make an impression while giving the culinary team the equipment and workspace to deliver its menu.

The Hudson Trailer Company sourced a classic Chevrolet with updated mechanical components and developed a custom kitchen body around Kohler’s operating needs and design direction.

The kitchen combines an Evo flattop grill, charbroiler and fryer with refrigerated preparation space and freezer storage. Cooking ventilation, fire suppression, sinks and coordinated electrical and propane systems support the equipment within the custom-built body.

The Hudson Trailer Company worked with Kohler’s team on appliance placement, service access and the relationship between the kitchen layout and exterior design. A large opening service window connects the operation with guests, creating a welcoming counter on the course.

A vintage truck with a new purpose

The Chevrolet’s distinctive cab gives the food truck its identity. Behind it, the purpose-built kitchen body creates the space the food-service operation requires.

A charcoal exterior with copper-toned accents carries Kohler’s design direction through the finished vehicle. Mechanical work included a power-steering upgrade, bringing practical improvements alongside the visual transformation.

03

Hospitality beyond the clubhouse

The finished truck gives Kohler a dedicated food-service destination with its own character—a commercial kitchen presented in a vehicle guests will remember.

For golf clubs and hospitality properties, a custom food truck offers another way to bring the dining experience closer to the people enjoying the property.
