Suzanne Hasz, and how this started

The Hudson Trailer Company was founded by Suzanne Hasz, and it started with one vintage 1959 Shasta trailer and the work of turning it into something you could serve out of.

That became a mobile event-rental business of her own — which is the part that matters when you are deciding who should build yours. She ran the thing she now builds: the early starts, the generator that has to hold, the window at the wrong height, the layout you only understand after a few hundred services.

As clients began asking for custom mobile bars, commercial kitchens, retail spaces and one-of-a-kind vintage conversions, the company grew past rentals, and production moved to Jacksonville, Florida. Suzanne stays closely involved in the direction of the company, the design development and the client experience — on most projects you are talking to her.

She also founded Mobile Business Builders, where she teaches the planning side of launching a mobile business: the work that happens long before a trailer is built.

How we work

Our work starts with how a space must function: menu, service volume, equipment, workflow, utilities, storage, transport, guest experience and visual identity. Customization doesn't mean improvising as we go. It means developing a solution around your real needs, documenting decisions, coordinating the major systems and building to an approved direction.

Authentic vintage, or built new

We're known for turning authentic vintage trailers and vehicles into modern commercial spaces. Provenance matters: a genuine vintage Airstream or truck brings character a replica can't. When a ground-up build offers better capacity, efficiency or long-term value, we design and fabricate new. Our job is to recommend the platform that serves your goals.

What we build

Mobile bars, coffee trailers, commercial food trailers and kitchens, vintage Airstream conversions, horse trailer conversions, vintage step vans and trucks, Piaggio Apes, mini trucks, mobile retail, visitor centers, brand activation vehicles, shipping container builds, restroom trailers and custom amenity structures.

Some clients arrive with a platform in mind. Others start with a need: F&B on a golf course, a poolside kitchen for a resort, an early amenity for a new community, a mobile visitor center. We help choose the platform, size, layout and equipment that best support it, rather than forcing the operation into a predetermined shell.

Who we build for

Entrepreneurs and small businesses launching or growing a mobile business, golf courses and private clubs, hotels and resorts, real estate developers, tourism organizations, municipalities and national brands. Whether it's one specialized unit or the start of a multi-unit program, we treat it as part of your larger guest experience and operating plan.

More than 200 builds

We've completed more than 200 custom projects across the United States, from compact beverage units and Tiny Tap trailers to full commercial kitchens, renovated vintage vehicles, retail spaces, brand activations and multi-unit hospitality installations. Every one is a different mix of design, equipment, structure, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, ventilation, storage, branding and transport, and that range lets us see how those pieces affect each other before construction starts.

Selected projects

At Atlantic Fields in Hobe Sound, Florida, we turned three authentic vintage trailers into a ninth-hole destination: a 1957 Airstream bar, a 1948 Spartan pro shop and a 1952 Spartanette restroom trailer. For Kohler, we rebuilt a 1949 Chevrolet Loadmaster as a golf course food truck. For Montauk Yacht Club, a 31-foot Airstream became a full commercial kitchen. For Luling Sport in Texas, a three-horse trailer became an on-course food service station, and for Visit Jacksonville, we built a solar-powered mobile visitor center.

Why clients choose us

Clients come to us when the finished project has to do more than function: when it has to sit well in a luxury property, become a recognizable part of a guest experience, carry a demanding commercial operation, travel as a branded activation, or give new purpose to an authentic vintage platform.

The work brings together concept development, sourcing the platform, commercial layout, equipment coordination, fabrication, integrated plumbing and electrical, interior and exterior design, and final testing. A custom build is a significant investment, and our responsibility is a project that looks considered, operates properly, and reflects the brand or property it serves.

Designed and built in Jacksonville

Every project is designed and fabricated at our Jacksonville, Florida facility, then picked up or shipped to you, anywhere in the United States, the Caribbean and beyond. You're welcome to stay involved throughout: direct communication and clear approvals are how the strongest projects get made.

One clear distinction

The Hudson Trailer Company is a Jacksonville design and fabrication company. We are not affiliated with Hudson Trailer Manufacturing or Hudson Trailers, a separate manufacturer established in 1970 that produces flatbed, dump, equipment, utility and landscape trailers.
