Mobile bar
A garden bar with a sense of place.
A custom mobile bar trailer designed for beverage service at Filoli in Woodside, California.
Filoli wanted a mobile bar that could bring beverage service into its garden setting, with room for two staff members, refrigeration and useful storage. It needed to function as a working bar while looking at home on the property.
The Hudson Trailer Company built a compact, vintage-inspired trailer around that brief, combining a practical interior with colors drawn directly from Filoli’s identity.
01
Designed for the team behind the counter
Undercounter refrigerators leave room for wood countertops around all four sides of the interior, providing space for preparation, supplies and service. A stainless draft tower, integrated ice well and sink bring the essential bar functions together within reach.
Washable white walls and recessed lighting keep the workspace bright and straightforward. Electrical provision for hot-beverage urns adds flexibility beyond draft service, allowing the team to adapt its offerings.
02
Filoli’s colors, carried through the build
The exterior pairs Filoli’s warm Acorn shade with its rich Bluejay blue, giving the rounded trailer a distinctive presence among the trees and gardens. Color-matched window frames complete the exterior.
Inside, cedar-toned cabinetry and full butcher-block countertops add warmth to the working bar. The combination gives the trailer its own character while keeping it connected to the property around it.
03
Hospitality beyond a permanent bar
The finished trailer gives Filoli a dedicated beverage-service space that can be repositioned on the property. It brings refrigeration, preparation space and a welcoming service window together in one compact unit.
